As the latest designer to collaborate with H&M, Parisian Isabel Marant, brings her effortless style to the affordable storefront. *(So all you NORMAL people can go and buy FANCY things AKA designer labels minus the GOOD quality... if you catch my flow)* As of 14 November, 2013, hungry shoppers will be waking at the crack of dawn (4AM) and try to squeeze their size 8 arses into an item two sizes smaller just so they can tell their soccer mom friends they wear designers on a day-to-day basis. This collection which will be both mens & womenswear, won't only be featured in the fancy premiere stores, oh no, just about 250 H&M's (worldwide and online) will get Marant's gear come Fall.
“I am flattered by this collaboration: H&M works with the best designers and this invitation is an exciting honour. I aim at creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one’s own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality" exclaimed Marant.
Even though exact details weren't released just yet for the highly sought collaboration, this is what we, (and in we I mean YOU) can expect. The fashionista's fantasy Marant-for-a-song range would have to include peasant blouses with ethnic detailing, cowboy shirts, and bomber jackets in oriental embroidered silk. Cropped skinny jeans and slouchy ankle boots are Marant mainstays likely to be included, while the hidden-wedge hi-top trainer, now much copied, was an original Marant piece and is likely to make a comeback. On the accessories stand, a Navajo-style belt and/or perhaps a fringed cross-body bag seem highly probable.
In closing, I hope to see all of your peachy faces this November, well, not really because most of my viewers are from France and I don't live there so... just buy something to support my favourite Frenchy!
